What is gynecomastia?

The development of the mammary gland in the chest of a male, or accumulation of fat, because it looks as a female breast. It is usually caused by the full response of female mammals to the mammary gland tissue and accumulation of fat in the chest area as well as metabolic diseases such as hormone abnormality caused by hypothyroidism or cancer, kidney dysfunction, endocrine disorders, and liver cirrhosis.
Generally, gynecomastia isn't a serious problem, but it can be tough to cope with the condition as the body grows abnormally because the tissue is enlarged from the normal male chest and the chest appears. However, it can cause cosmetic problems and severe mental stress.

Cause of gynecomastia
Increase in female hormones: Gynecomastia, in which the breasts develop in the male like female, is mainly caused by the increase in female hormones due to the imbalance of hormones such as estrogen and androgen in puberty.

Liposuction
Incision for 0.5cm on armpit
Enlarged breast because the gynecomastia is not severe and the fat is accumulated due to obesity.
- A small tube (cannula) is inserted into the lower part of the breast to incise the fat.
- Even if there is a certain amount of wired tissues, the effect can be obtained visually, but when the areolar tissues are developed a lot, the resection of areolar can be performed in parallel.
Mammary Gland Excision
Incision for 2-3cm around areolar
It is performed when the mammary tissue develops and the breast is enlarged.
- Since the amount of mammary gland tissue is dense and many cases cannot remove the mammary gland tissue by liposuction alone, the mammary gland tissue is directly excised by cutting 2-3cm in the lower part of the mammary gland.
Precautions after surgery
- From 6 hours after the operation, you can eat food and you should eat mild food porridge.
- A light shower can be done after 48 hours of operation. (It is not good if you are immersed in the water or in a hot environment.)
- Depending on individual differences, it can cause swelling and bruising. Do not bend your head or bow when sleeping; use 2~3 pillows to make 20~30 degree upper body. This will help prevent swelling and pain.
- During the first week after operation, the arm should not be raised over 90 degrees and it is best to lift heavy objects or to act on your arms.
- From 2 weeks after surgery, light exercise like jogging is possible.
- Drinking and smoking after surgery can slow down the healing and should be avoided for 3~4weeks. Be careful of strong trauma during recovery.
